In 2011, I learned that there had been a movement, as early as 1941, to "upgrade" the concept of independence to one of INTERdependence through a reframing of the traditional "Declaration of Independence" to a new and improved "Declaration of INTERdependence".

At the time, in July of 2011, I posted a blog sharing a version of the Declaration of Interdependence created by the Association for Global New Thought, which was quite moving. I find it interestingly synchronistic, now that I look back on this blog, that my posting of this declaration happened just 2 months before the September 2011 plane crashes into the Twin Towers in New York.

Now, three years later, I thought I'd take some time to see how this movement has grown since that time. As I Googled "INTERdependence Day" and "Declaration of INTERdependence", I was pleased to find some great new organizations that have taken up the torch and some beautiful new renditions of the declaration I hadn't seen before.

I encourage you to Google both and enjoy perusing through the results. But here is one video in particular that really moved me that I think is a great start! (Also, synchronistically, the making of this video began July of 2011 as well!)
