Who is in your driver seat? Judgment or Curiosity?
There were many beautiful awarenesses that came through attending a workshop this weekend with Thomas Huebl. He is a skilled teacher with so much wisdom to share. But interestingly, one of the most powerful learnings came through an unexpected avenue.
You see, when I signed up for the workshop, I hadn't fully understood that the workshop was going to be co-facilitated between Thomas and another teacher who had a completely different teaching style than Thomas. Each time Thomas would teach, I would drop into deep awareness, writing furiously and excitedly. Yet, when the stage was turned over to the other teacher, I could feel a good deal of frustration, irritation and resistance. This was NOT what I had signed up for! I found myself judging the teacher, judging Thomas for partnering with the other teacher, and judging the organization who coordinated the workshops for charging me all this money for something I felt was wasting my time.
So, later that evening, seeing my fear-based responses, I consciously took the time to reflect on what was clearly a reaction of my Ego.
