Karma from the soul's perspective

Karma means many things to many people. Growing up, my understanding was karma as a punishment or reward dictated by God or the Universe based on the choices you made (and sometimes it wasn't even a result of your current life but some past life you knew nothing about!). There was "good karma" and "bad karma" and many experiences could be blamed on it or praised for it.

From the soul perspective, karma is neither a punishment nor a reward, good nor bad. It is simply the universe supporting the soul's desire to return to its natural state of balance.
