Boys and Girls Club of Oakhurst Christmas Tree Auction
This year's event, to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Oakhurst and other local charities, will be held on Sunday, December 2 in The Bass Lake Events Center Lakeview Room. Doors open for the silent auction, raffle, hors d'oeuvres and complimentary champagne at 3 p.m. Bidding for the Live Auction begins at 5:30 p.m.

Children's Museum to host Halloween Festival
The Children's Museum of the Sierra hosts a Halloween Festival on Saturday, October 27 from 10 - 5. There will be lessons on pumpkin- carving by the Central Sierra Woodcarvers, Halloween decoration classes, and a BBQ from the Sierra Lions Club.

Fridays at Fresno Flats
Friday at Fresno Flats, on November 9 , presents Bill Coates, noted historian , author, and story teller of our Eastern Madera area. Back by popular demand, Bill Coates spins tales of the rowdy days 100 years ago in Oakhurst, when lumbermen, farmers and miners moved into our valley and, along with the Indians, began to leave their footprint on our local history. The public is invited to attend this special progra m at 5:30 in the Cunningham School in Fresno Flats Historic Village and Park located on Road 427 (School Road) in Oakhurst. A delicious dinner will be served at 5:30 followed by the presentation. This evening will be the last in our Friday at Fresno Flats series of programs for this year.
