This Sunday I want our church to honor motherhood and in this glorify Jesus Christ who designed it, created it, and blessed it. There are millions of single women, and many will remain single. There is grace for that-a very special grace and for some even a calling from Christ to stay single. There is grace for that. There are women who are single mothers and the marriage element is painfully missing. God has a special grace for that, too. There are women who are married who cannot, or, with their husband choose not, to have a child. God has a grace for that as well. And there are mothers who weave together marriage, college, home management, and careers-some because they have to (like single moms) and others because they choose to because they see it as part of their calling and they have found creative ways to connect all the dots without compromising their call as mothers or their commitment to their husbands. What can be discovered is that no matter where you are as a woman or mother God gives grace. I'm looking forward to sharing a message on Sunday from 1 Samuel that demonstrates this.
