Some Inspiration for the New Year
On this first day of 2014 I'm excited to be able to send you the link to Life's Invisible Feast, the TED talk I gave recently at TEDxSanDiego on the UCSD campus. In it I tell the story of how I started to write the Not So Big House series, and how in turn that led to The Not So Big Life.
But its real message is to encourage everyone to listen to what your heart longs to do and to make just a little space for that longing to begin to flourish. You don't need to start over to find life's invisible feast...just open the door to what you love, right in the middle of the life you're already living. Though initially it may seem impossible, when you learn how to look at things with new eyes, the opportunities are right in front of you, just waiting to be discovered. As we step into this new year, this is my wish for everyone -- the time and the space to pursue what you love, and to show up in each moment completely. That's where the meaningfulness we all long for resides. It's not nearly as hard to find as most of us imagine. Happy New Year to All,
Sarah
