Animal Imaging and the Ambulatory Clinician
Animal Imaging can assist the ambulatory clinician in many ways:
  • Avoid the substantial cost of imaging equipment.
  • Engage our radiologists to help solve clinical cases.
  • Submit referrals with your imaging requests and patient history and you manage the case with additional diagnostic information.
Meet the Newest Member of the Animal Imaging Team
Beth Biscoe, DVM, MS, DACVR

Animal Imaging is excited to announce the addition of Beth Biscoe, DVM, MS, DACVR to our team.  Dr. Biscoe received her DVM from Virginia Tech.  After which, she completed an internship at the Blue Ridge Equine Clinic in Virginia and was later employed at Little Creek Veterinary Services in Madison, Georgia.  Dr. Biscoe then went on to complete a 2 year Equine Ultrasound Fellowship with Dr. Mary Beth Whitcomb at the University of California at Davis prior to completing her radiology residency at Washington State University in 2014.  Dr. Biscoe grew up on a dairy farm in Virginia and spends her spare time horseback riding, cooking and hiking with her dogs and husband, Kyle.  Dr. Dana Neelis, who also has an extensive equine background prior to her radiology training, and Dr. Biscoe will expand the equine services offered at Animal Imaging.
Teleradiology and Ultrasound in the Equine

Drs. Biscoe and Neelis interpret equine radiographs based on the expertise acquired with their extensive training, but with a clinical perspective.  Prepurchase studies, radiographs of the neck, head, back, shoulder, elbow, pelvis and routine films may all be submitted for review.

As board certified radiologists, both Dana and Beth have extensive experience in ultrasound procedures, such as stifle exams, cardiac studies, specialty studies, ultrasound guided procedures and routine musculoskeletal studies.
Scintigraphy, 3-Tesla MRI and Standing CT
Dr. Hersman, Dr. Neelis and Dr. Biscoe work together to provide expertise in interpretation of images as well as applying a problem solving perspective to cross sectional imaging cases.  We strive to help referring veterinarians arrive at a definitive diagnosis and create an effective treatment plan.

We believe that communication is key and always welcome your questions and comments regarding any case submitted.  We hope to serve as an imaging extension of your practice.
