Dear Friends,
As the weather is getting warmer, the anticipation for the summer camping season in mounting while our JEP year-round program is still going strong. Weekly and monthly programs are meeting in many locations and we are proud to announce the upcoming Nageela Family Weekend at the Hotel Somerset Bridgewater. Many smaller events are taking place as well including a small boys Shabbaton reunion this past weekend in Brooklyn and a teen girls Shabbaton this weekend. It is amazing how much is going on!
Camp Nageela registration is at an all time high for both the girls and boys camp sessions. The girls session is just about filled to capacity and a waiting list has begun. We urge all interested camp families to apply as soon as possible. We are currently working on maximizing bunk arrangements to increase capacity and applicants will be accepted from the waiting list on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please scroll down to read about Awesome Sauce- the new Nageela blog, the introduction of a Superfan program, the 2013 Safe Camp fund, planning for the 2014 year-round program and more.
I hope to greet you in person at the upcoming Nageela family retreat. I especially look forward to meeting our first time camper families. If you are unable to make it, at least we know that camp is around the corner!
Regards, Rabbi David Shenker Director
