Mark Your Calendars:
Annual Mother's Day Car Wash on May 3!
Our Mother's Day tradition is moving one week earlier! St. Anne's mission team members will make cars shiny clean during all morning services on May 3! Donations will also be cheerfully accepted to NOT wash your car. Moving the car wash a week earlier will allow our teams to spend time on May 10 - Mother's Day - with the families who often wait for the last car to be washed, the last hose to be coiled up and the stack of towels to be washed before celebrating.

Diocesan Event
Racial Reconciliation Listening Session
In his pastoral address to Annual Council, the Rt. Rev. Shannon S. Johnston announced a new racial reconciliation initiative for 2015: "Surely, as communities of faith we as a diocese are especially suited, and divinely charged, to be facilitators of reconciliation, both within our walls and in the broader community."
On Thursday, April 23 at The Falls Church Episcopal (115 E. Fairfax Street, Falls Church, VA) at 7:30 p.m. the will be a Hand-in-Hand Listening Session on racial reconciliation in an Indaba style gathering. This session will involve no debate, no cross-talk, but rather give every person present the opportunity to speak their hearts and minds in a safe, non-reactive environment.
Meet in the St. Anne's parking lot at 6:30 p.m. if you would like to carpool; and please contact the Church Office if you would like a ride.
Please follow this link to indicate your attendance at this sessiom.

Relay for Life and the Return of the Chili Cook-Off
All of our lives have been touched by cancer in some way, whether through family, friends or ourselves. Relay for Life is one of the American Cancer Society's major fundraisers; walking and raising support for cancer research. The year it takes place at South Lakes High School and runs from Saturday, May 16 through Sunday, May 17. We walk in shifts, rather than a 'per mile' amount and walkers recruit sponsors for the entire event, there's also the option to give a donation. It's also a great way for high schoolers to add community service hours! For over 10 years St. Anne's has had our Grateful Living team decked out in tie-dye. Last year we had over 30 walkers and we raised more than $3,500 for a very important cause. Of course we want to do even better this year!!! So, how can you help? Please click here to walk or donate towards our team or a walker.
Join us for the Return of the St. Anne's Chili Cook-off and Games Night on May 3 here at St. Anne's. We'll be judging who makes the best chili; the winner will receive a 'valuable' prize. We'll need eaters as well as cooks so its open to everyone; cook or not. Bring a side dish to round things out and it promises to be a fun evening! Click here to sign up to attend, enter your chili or to play.
You can also contact Ray Walser for more information about any and all events.
