Your Last Chance to "Stuff the Bus"
Yes, the very successful food collection is back. Last year we received over $3000 worth of free food for our pantry and we want to do the same this year, but we need your help. On Monday, Feb. 16 from 9:00-5:00 we will be handing out flyers and collecting food at Shoppers Food Warehouse in the Clock Tower Shopping Center in Herndon (2425 Centreville Rd.). The food is "stuffed" in a bus and brought to St. Anne's. How can you help? Sign up for a two-hour shift at Shoppers to hand out flyers and support the mission (all ages can help) or sign up to help unload the bus and sort the items here at church from 5:00-7:00. Please click here to book your time slot. For more information, contact Susanne Walsh.

Family Gatherings
Once a month, St. Anne's is offering a Saturday afternoon program designed specifically for young families. We invite and encourage parents and young children to gather at St. Anne's for fellowship and fun, and occasionally a meal. Most gatherings, with some exceptions, will be structured in this way: 3:00-4:00 p.m. - open play/social hour; 4:00-5:00 p.m. - program; 5:00-6:00 p.m. - meal (when planned).
On Saturday, March 21 from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. we will host our inaugural Family Gathering. It's March Madness - so why not enjoy some games together! The NCAA college basketball tournament will be on the TV in the library, and there will be plenty of indoor games for folks young and old. Hot dogs provided for dinner. Bring your favorite game day appetizer or side dish to share. Bring your favorite board or card game to play. Click here to sign up.
Please click here to see a schedule of Family Gatherings from March to July. Questions? Contact Rev. Laura.

Reston Drop In Center
Since last August St. Anne's has been developing a relationship with the Reston Drop-In Center. The center is a peer-run facility for people with issues of homelessness, mental illness, substance abuse and similar challenges. The center is open from 9 to 2:30, Monday through Friday and is located off Sunset Hills at 1820 Michael Faraday Dr. We've helped them assess and support their needs from an operational perspective. We're now at the point where we need volunteers to help in three areas: increasing client participation, updating services and improving the look and feel of the facility. Activities might includes everything from painting to training! If you are interested in working with the St Anne's Reston Drop-in Center Mission, please contact Clifton H. Poole (571-969-4660).
