Annual Meeting with A Celebration of St. Anne's
On Feb. 8 we will be combining our 9:00 and 11:15 service for our Annual Meeting and a Celebration of St. Anne's; this service will begin at 10:00. Child care will be provided from 10:00; children will return to their parents for Communion. During this service we will discuss 2014 final budget numbers and the preliminary budget for 2015 will be presented. Also, new vestry nominations will be presented. Afterwards during coffee hour there will be a chance to talk with folks who are involved with our missions and ministries. Because there'll be so much going on that day there'll be no Sunday School or children's music. Please don't miss this important event. There will not be a 7:45 service on that day, but there will be a 5:00 p.m. service.

Sandwiches for the Shelter
No sooner do we finish making one batch of sandwiches for the local homeless shelter than many of you ask when we're going to do it again -- so we've scheduled our next sandwich making/lunch bagging for Saturday, Jan. 31 at 10:30 a.m. in the Narthex. We invariably make about 240 sandwiches and 120 bag lunches in 45 minutes -- and we have a good time while we work! Children old enough to help make their own lunches are always welcome. Please click here to signup. If you have any questions please contact Emily McPhie.

Stuff the Bus
Yes, the very successful food collection is back. Last year we received over $3000 worth of free food for our pantry and we want to do the same this year, but we need your help. On Monday, Feb. 16 from 9:00-5:00 we will be handing out flyers and collecting food at Shoppers Food Warehouse in the Clock Tower Shopping Center in Herndon. The food is "stuffed" in a bus and brought to St. Anne's. How can you help? Sign up for a two-hour shift at Shoppers to hand out flyers and support the mission (all ages can help) or sign up to help unload the bus and sort the items here at church from 5:00-7:00. Please click here to book your time slot. For more information, contact Susanne Walsh.

St. Anne's Community Garden is a Go!
At our initial meeting we looked at where the garden is going to be: the corner with the glass corridor where St. Anne's turns into Common Ground. We discussed what we're going to be doing. Our next meeting will be on Feb. 15 at 10:45 in Room 3/4 where we'll be making final decisions about design and crop selection. If you're interested in being involved please attend and/or drop a note to Betsy Carbo.

St. Anne's Art Show and Silent Auction
The St. Anne's Art Show & Silent Auction committee would like you to tell them what you are creating! "Intent to Submit" forms are available on a clipboard in the Narthex or by clicking here. Please email the form to Rev. Laura or return it to her mailbox in the church office by no later than Sunday, Feb. 8.
There is a maximum of 2 contributions per person. The theme is "creation" and we are calling for entries in a variety of media, including but not limited to painting, knitting, music, jewelry, poetry, ceramics, metal, drawing, embroidery, photography, printmaking, glass, wood, quilting, and sculpture. We will accept works created by non-St. Anne's artists. We will also accept non-traditional art "work"/creative gifts; e.g. cooking a gourmet meal in the auction winner's home, creating landscape designs for a yard, etc.
The art show will benefit scholarships for participation in various St. Anne's programs. Questions? Contact Rev. Laura.
