The eight members of our Cuba Mission Team arrived in Cuba Friday night. We spoke with Jim this morning. The mission team is doing well. The Bishop of Cuba is sending them out to different communities to work and to meet people. On Sunday Jim preached at Bermeja. We will be sure to keep you updated as we learn more. The group will be returning on Sunday, April 16.

Thanks for Making a Difference through OAR
Fairfax County OAR was overwhelmed by the awesome generosity of the St. Anne's congregation this winter. Those of us who collected the coats thought you were pretty terrific as well! OAR has asked us to "Please thank the congregation for 'making a difference' through OAR." St. Anne's donated roughly $2,000 worth of coats to provide a warm start for those who are beginning a new life after prison. I believe it's our best drive yet! One of our volunteers, Clifton Poole, suggested we ask you all one more time - now that, hopefully, the cold weather is behind us - to look as you go through your spring cleaning for any other coats you might want to give. The box will still be in its place in the Narthex for a week or so more. OAR can accept coats all year long, and you can always check out the OAR website: www.oarfairfax.org. We thank you for showing how much you care.

Choir to Perform Requiem on Good Friday
At the 7:30 p.m. Good Friday service, St. Anne's Choir and Orchestra will perform John Rutter's Requiem. "This is one of the best-loved and most widely performed choral works of the twentieth century. The texts are from the Missa pro Defunctis, the Book of Common Prayer, and the Psalms. The seven sections form a meditation on the themes of life and death: prayers on behalf of all humanity, psalms, personal prayers to Christ, and in the central Sanctus an affirmation of divine glory." (from Oxford University Press) This special Good Friday service will blend the Passion of Christ from John's Gospel with Rutter's Requiem. Please plan to join us!

Help!!
The person who for years has quietly and without fanfare washed and ironed our acolyte robes has recently moved away. We are in need of someone to wash and iron some of our robes -- approximately 5 to 10 robes -- every two weeks. If you would be able to help with this activity, please contact Susan. Thanks!
