Giampiero Fuentes has lived in the United States for only the past five years, but he has learned English, started two businesses, hosted a local Spanish-language TV show, earned an associate's degree, and started studying finance at USF.

USF Launches New Doctor of Business Administration Program 

The USF College of Business is launching the DBA, designed exclusively for C-suite executives and business leaders with at least a dozen years of upper-level industry experience - and is accepting applications for the inaugural cohort that will begin in January 2015. Read more.
High-schoolers learn data analytics in half-day bootcamp

Data analytics is an in-demand skill in most industries, with businesses looking to hire employees who can help make sense out of numbers. The USF College of Business offered these high school students the chance to get a head start -- for free. Read more.

 Alumni Notes
  •  Ram Kancharla ('85, '87, Business Administration, MBA) has been appointed to the Advisory Committee on Supply Chain Competitiveness. Kancharla is currently the vice president of planning and development for Port Tampa Bay.
  • Brian Lamb ('98, Accounting) has been elected vice chair of USF's board of trustees.

Faculty and Staff Notes 
  • Marketing Associate Professor Andy Artis and Marketing Professor Paul Solomon coauthored an article, along with others, that was accepted for publication in the Journal of Marketing Channels: "Impact of Perceived Organizational Support on Self-Directed Learning in Sales Training."
  • Former College of Business Dean Robert Forsythe has accepted a dean position at Wayne State University.
  • Gigi Laird Hawn has joined the College of Business as associate director of development.
  • Accounting Instructor Celina Jozsi retired in July after 35 years of service to the university. Congratulate her on our Facebook page.
