USF part-time MBA ranked No. 1 among state universities
USF ranked above other prestigious business schools such as UF, Georgetown, and Ohio State University.

The University of South Florida's part-time MBA is the top program among Florida's 12 state universities, and No. 16 among public schools in the nation, according to new rankings released by Bloomberg Businessweek earlier this month.

Overall, Bloomberg Businessweek ranked USF's part-time MBA program 36th in the nation among both private and public universities. Read more. 

 

New business incubator encourages student entrepreneurship
The Student Innovation Incubator launched Nov. 20.

A new Student Innovation Incubator, a partnership of the USF Center for Entrepreneurship and USF Connect, will help students take their business ideas from concept to reality.

CapTrust co-founder has USF roots 
Eric Bailey co-founded the investment firm in 1998, only a few years after graduating from USF.

Fifteen years ago, USF alumnus Eric Bailey combined his numbers-heavy degrees in accounting and finance to start a creative new venture: CapTrust, a Tampa-based investment firm that has grown to almost $15 billion in client assets since it was founded in 1998.

Jabil CEO talks leadership with EMBA students
"I really think that good leadership is a servant role," he said.

Jabil Circuit, a supply chain management and electronic manufacturing company based in St. Petersburg, is a very large company that few people know much about -- and that's according to its CEO.

"Customers think, 'I don't see a Jabil on a shelf, I can't go out and buy a Jabil,'" CEO Mark Mondello said recently, when he came to campus to speak to USF Executive MBA students. Read more.

MS in Real Estate Program gains new certification partnership
The CCIM Institute Membership allows students in the program to fast-track their professional certification.

Students in USF's MS in Real Estate program will have additional value added to their degrees, due to a new partnership with the CCIM Institute.


The CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation offers real estate professionals expertise in finance, especially useful for institutional real estate deals that are part of investment portfolios. Read more.
