USF Entrepreneurship Program Shines
The Princeton Review and Entrepreneur Magazine rank USF's interdisciplinary program among the top 25 programs in the nation.

The only Florida program included in the annual roster, USF moved up eight spots to be named No. 11 in Entrepreneur magazine's November 2012 issue. The Tampa-based center has been included in the top 25 roster for the past five years.
USF's SBDC Grows Local Businesses
The Small Business Development Center has assisted local businesses for 35 years with impressive outcomes.

USF's SBDC has helped businesses launch, succeed, and grow in the toughest economy this generation of business owners has experienced, with 13,1777 jobs created and saved since 2007.

International Military Officers Earn USF Degrees
Two high-ranking Bangladeshi officers graduate with MBAs.
 
Lieutenant Monirul Akhand and Major Shawkat Osman earned their degrees in less than two years, all while working 40-plus hours per week at MacDill Air Force Base -- and they're not the only international officers pursuing degrees. Read More

Information Systems and Decision Sciences Professor Rosann Collins and her colleagues looked at medical videoconferencing -- when a health care provider examines a patient via video -- and made suggestions for how the interactions can be set up to satisfy patients. Read More

Students and scholarship sponsors gather at the annual College of Business Scholarship Luncheon, where more than $450,000 in scholarships were awarded to students.
Alumni Notes

Robert Canton
(87, finance and business administration) was named executive vice president of finance and strategic planning for the Tampa Bay Lightning. Canton, who joins the Lightning from PricewaterhouseCoopers in Tampa, will oversee financial operations external development, and strategic planning, while managing city and county governmental relations for the franchise.

Linda M. Murray (11, Executive MBA) was recently promoted to the London office of The Walt Disney Company as senior manager of its Europe Accounting Operations department.

Andy Artis joined the Marketing Department as an associate professor from Lakeland. He is teaching Sales Management.

Dipayan Biswas, an associate professor in the Marketing Department, recently accepted an invitation to join the Editorial Review  Board of the Journal of Public Policy & Marketing.

Rosann Collins, an associate professor in the ISDS Department, is an author on "Telemedicine: Technology Mediated Service Relationship, Encounter, or Something Else?" in the September issue of the International Journal of Medical Informatics.
