Former Dean Bob Forsythe named Franklin Fellow
Forsythe will be in Charleston, S.C., for a year working at the Department of State's Global Financial Services, which provides financial services to the Department of State, USAID, and more than 45 Federal entities worldwide. Read more

Associate Dean Charles Kroncke Retires
Kroncke retired at the end of July. Jackie Reck, the James E. Rooks Distinguished Professor in the School of Accountancy, is serving as interim associate dean. Read more.

In Other News... USF's Phi Beta Lambda chapter took home the most awards of any chapter in Florida from the association's national conference in San Antonio, Texas, this June. The three-year-old chapter won numerous awards including second place for most outstanding chapter nationally, first place in accounting principles, and third place in public speaking. Chris Solimine (89, marketing) accepted a position as regional sales director for Great-West Retirement Services.
Bill Masterton (91, accounting; 93, MBA) was appointed as its chief executive officer of Piedmont Medical Center.
Chuck Chucri (92, finance), associate producer in Prudential, earned the Chartered Financial Consultant designation, representing educational achievement in the financial services industry, from the American College. The Palm Harbor resident joined Prudential in 2009 and serves clients throughout the Tampa Bay area. Chucri is the president of Business Network International's Safety Harbor Chapter and is a member of the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Jean Haynes (94, MBA) was appointed as president and chief executive officer of Univita Health.

Faculty and Staff Notes
Marketing Department Chair Mimi Stamps retired in August after 30 years as part of the College of Business faculty. Anand Kumar will be serving as interim chair of the department.
Bill Sutton, director of the MBA in Sport & Entertainment Management, will be recognized with the Academic Achievement in Sport & Entertainment Award from the University of South Carolina at the Sport Entertainment and Venues Tomorrow conference in November.

There will be FREE food - served by the dean and department chairs - and College of Business T-shirts (while supplies last).
