- A group of graduate students, including David Adeleye Adetutu (MBA), Syeda Sundas Bokhari (MBA), Pejman Mahmoudi (MBA), Brian Rabelo (MBA), and Chad Wiltz (Executive MBA) recently competed in and won the College of Business Graduate Business Case Competition. The winning team will represent USF in the 10th Annual Florida Intercollegiate Business Case Competition in February. During the competition, the group, which was one of six groups to participate, had 24 hours to solve a business case and present their analysis and recommendations to judges.
- Kudos to Jonathan Conde (management), Erin Potter (general business), and William Pullin (management & marketing) for earning spots on this year's USF Homecoming Court. Special congratulations to Conde for being named homecoming king.

Dr. Michael J. Sweeney ('94, Executive MBA for Physicians) was recently hired as the chief medical officer of Amerinet Inc., a leading national healthcare solutions organization. Sweeney is a vascular and general surgeon with nearly 20 years in private practice. Hernando County Sheriff Al Nienhuis ('06, management; '11, MBA) has announced his intent to run for sheriff in 2012. Nienhuis had more than 21 years of law enforcement experience before he was elected sheriff of Hernando County at the beginning of January.

Sam Bulmash, an associate professor in the Finance Department, recently presented "Further Revisiting the Impacts of Factors like CEO Experience or Age or Compensation have on Corporate Performance" at the 2011 Annual Meeting of the Financial Management Association International in Denver, Colo.
Wendy Jennings, office manager for the Marketing Department, recently received the Quiet Quality Award from the USF Staff Senate. Recipients are recognized for their conscientiousness, professional manner, positive attitude, work performance, responsibilities, and ability to make useful suggestions in the workplace.
