LANDRUM SPORTS UPDATE

Volleyball

Tryouts September 2 after school until 4:15

Must have signed parent permission form turned in

Landrum Boys and Girls Volleyball tryouts are beginning Tuesday September 2nd from 2:15-4:15. All students trying out must have a signed permission slip to tryout. Coach Jansen in Room 440, Coach Pastori in the gym and the front office have copies of the permission slips. The tryouts will continue for students on Wednesday from 1:15-3:15. Students must be available for practices Monday-Thursday the week of September 8th and 15th. Games begin the week of September 22nd and continue until November 17th. Game days are Mondays and Wednesdays and practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays during the season. We must have 100% of your time, so if another sport or activity conflicts with this schedule, you may not tryout. We apologize for this, but feel this gives more athletes a chance to participate in Landrum athletics. Contact Lynne Jansen at lynne.jansen@stjohns.k12.fl.us with any questions or concerns. Good Luck!

DISABILITY HISTORY AND AWARENESS WEEKS

The first two weeks of October are Disability History and Awareness Weeks! Section 1003.4205, Florida Statutes, entitled Disability History and Awareness Instruction, was signed into law in 2008. It requires school districts to designate the first two weeks of October as Disability History and Awareness Weeks and also promotes providing instruction for students in all public schools to expand student knowledge, understanding, and awareness of individuals with disabilities, disability history, and the disability rights movement.
