Dear Viking Parents,

Unfortunately, due to the inclement weather forecast for Friday, we have decided to postpone our Vanderlyn Vocabulary Parade. We will host our parade on Monday, November 4, 2013 at 9 a.m. The starting point for the parade will begin on the lower playground near the modulars. We are asking all spectators to gather in the bus turn-around on the designated sidewalk areas. There will also be a designated area located in the front of the building for spectators. These areas will be marked. The order of the parade will begin with Pre-K and end with 5th Grade. As a courtesy to all of our students, we ask that you remain until the end of the parade and not follow your students into the building.

We respectfully ask that parents and visitors wait outside for the parade to begin and not come inside the building while we are preparing students for the event. All parents are encouraged to photograph their students before or during the parade. When the parade is over, we ask that you allow us to continue our instructional day, and parent visitation to classrooms will be restricted due to safety and security. Thank you in advance for helping to make this a memorable event by following the guidelines that we have set forth.
