Field Day T-Shirt Design Contest
Is your student interested in designing the 2013 Field Day T-shirt for Vanderlyn? Now is the chance! Have your child create his/her design on 8.5 x 11" white paper using only black marker. Submissions must include the words Vanderlyn Field Day 2013.
Submit your entry to your homeroom teacher by March 14.
If you haven't purchased your Field Day shirt yet and would like to, please reach out to bridgetteuhde@yahoo.com. The final order for Field Day shirts is due by March 31.

PTA Meeting and Nominating Committee
March 16, 2013
Do you know a person qualified to serve on the PTA Nominating Committee? The nominating committee will be elected on March 16 at the next general PTA meeting. This important committee will create the slate of officers that will lead Vanderlyn's PTA during the 2013-14 school year. Ideal candidates for the Nominating Committee are acquainted with a broad section of parents at Vanderlyn and are logical, discreet and procedural-minded.

DCPC Meeting
March 6 from 9:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
The next Dunwoody Chamblee Parent Council (DCPC) meeting will discuss "Managing Stress without Medication". The meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 6 from 9:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. This meeting will take place at Kittredge Magnet School for High Achievers at Nancy Creek. Come early to find parking and enjoy the refreshments offered at 8:45 a.m. |
Walk to School Day
Wednesday, March 6
Put your walking shoes on for Mrs. Crenshaw! This Wednesday is Georgia Walk to School Day, and the area schools are competing for the greatest number of students that walk to school. If Vanderlyn wins this challenge, other principals in the area will wear a Vanderlyn logo shirt. But if another school wins...Mrs. Crenshaw will wear the logo of another school!
So this Wednesday, lace up your sneakers, put on another layer and start walking!
