Math Olympiad
The Academic Competitions Committee would like to congratulate all the 63 Vanderlyn students, who showed the boldness to participate in the Math Olympiad Try-Outs. The motivation and excitement in the kids to compete for a place in the team was absolutely overwhelming.

We are delighted to announce the final Math Olympiad team from Vanderlyn; the team will be competing against other elementary schools in the nation for the 2012 - 2013 MOEMS (Math Olympiad for Elementary and Middle Schools) contest under the guidance and supervision of the Academic Competitions Committee Chair, Mitra Saha.

The first, of the five MOEMS meets scheduled for the year, took place on Tuesday, November 13. This is the debut of Vanderlyn Elementary in the world of mathematics competitions. Kudos to Ms. Crenshaw for her great support and enthusiasm for participation in academic competitions.
