The Gallery on the Lower Level
Art Exhibit Opening Reception
2 Guys and a Gal is an exhibition of the works of three artists, Richard Koleszar, Harry Dayton and Emelie Howard. Richard Koleszar's watercolor landscapes, and seascapes reflect his feelings for the earth and its scenery. A former Art Director in New York City, he was drawn to the beauty of New England and began a second career as a painter. Harry Dayton has been influenced mainly by the work of the painters of The California School of the 1930's and 1940's. This style is characterized by broad brush strokes and rich colors. A wet-into-wet technique of semi-abstract and impressionist forms defines his work. He also had early training in advertising design and production drawing. Emelie Howard is primarily a landscape and portrait painter who will present a series of paintings entitled "Ridgefield's Hidden Treasures."
The exhibit may be viewed during the Library's open hours through September 29th.
