Summer Reading Starts Friday!
Summer Reading Programs for preschoolers, elementary students, teens and adults begin this Friday, June 19th. Click here for more information about how you and your whole family can participate.
Summer Hours Begin Sunday
Starting this week on June 21st, the Library will be on its summer schedule, which means that we will be
closed on Sundays until after Labor Day.

All other hours stay the same:
Monday - Thursday 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Friday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Saturday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Garden Lunch & Readings

The Garden of Ideas, the Ridgefield Library and 109 Cheese and Wine will present a weekly Garden Lunch at the Garden of Ideas on Wednesday afternoons  through September 30. Enjoy lunch in a beautiful setting (prepared for you or bring your own)...in solitude, with old or new friends, with colleagues... with an option for a bit of added inspiration if desired.   

 

This week's reader is The Garden of Ideas own Renaissance man, wordsmith and Master Gardener, Joe Keller, who will read a selected passage from his personal library of books by forgotten authors and naturalists.

Flying Up Ceremony for Fifth Graders 

All fifth graders are welcome to come to the Ridgefield Library's "Flying Up" ceremony this afternoon.  

 

Because you will be going into Middle School in the fall, you are now considered a Library Teen and are welcome to use the Ellis Family Teen Center, attend Teen Programs, and volunteer for programs.

 

Come have a snack, learn about Teen programs, and get a coupon for a free book. Let's celebrate YOU!

Parents of preschoolers are invited to hear a talk about ways to encourage prereading skills in the young child. Presentation by Shefali Patel, Certified Speech and Language Therapist.  Children are welcome.
