Effective Website Design and SEO

SCORE Business Advisor Mike Brooks will present Effective Website Design and Search Engine Optimization (SEO). In this presentation Mike will share a road map for creating a website that is optimized for conversions as well as SEO. He will share simple steps anyone can take to get more prospects to your website and turn them into customers. Mike Brooks has been in the website design and SEO business for over 10 years.

 

This program is part of the Skillsbox: Tools for Business Success series presented by Ridgefield Library, Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce and SCORE.  Breakfast is provided.

Panel Discussion: Aging Wisely (Part 2): New Year, New Goals, New You - Reinventing Yourself
"Making a major change in your life is never easy, but our diverse panelists will show how taking the steps to follow your passion can be very rewarding," said Barbara McMahon, Senior Financial Advisor, Assistant Vice President, PIA Portfolio Advisor, Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, and founder of the Brown Bag Network. The evening's program will feature six professionals who have come upon challenges in their lives and created successful businesses or organizations. Scheduled to appear on the panel are:  Annette Hasapidis, a local "Superlawyer" who started her own practice; Christy Kinsman, who turned a challenging period of her life into the opportunity to create a thriving business (The Little House Shoppe); Emily Mills, a former lobbyist who leads the school garden movement; Don Romoser, president of Connecticut PTA; Kathryn Sollman, an inspiration blogger, writer and speaker who helps others reach their business and personal career goals; and Birgitta Stone, a former insurance representative who started a social media business.

 

The free event is the second in a series presented by the Ridgefield Library & Brown Bag Network about "Aging Wisely."  A networking reception will follow the presentation. Please register.
