Holiday Stroll this Weekend
Be sure to stop by the Library Friday and Saturday during Holiday Stroll.  Click here to see a full schedule of events around town.

Please Note: Main Street entrance to Library parking lot will be closed on Friday from 12:30 PM on to accommodate horse carriages.  Please enter the lot via the Prospect Street entrance to the Prospector Theater lot.

Line up on the lawn at the Library and the Community Center for one-way horse and carriage rides along the beautifully decorated Main Street.

Friday, 7:00 PM Seasons Readings: A Christmas Memory by Truman Capote

Main Program Room

A Christmas Memory is a beloved story for all audiences to enjoy at holiday time, taken from Capote's childhood in the rural south. 

Five actors from JIB Productions will take the stage to bring this modern classic to life. Refreshments will be served. This program is recommended for ages 10 through 110! Registration is suggested.

Families with children ages 5 and older are invited to a special performance of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens performed by the Hampstead Stage Company. 
We're Doing Downton!

Join Downton Abbey fans and others for a festive Downton themed cocktail party and entertainment on Sunday, December 7 from 5:30 - 8:30 PM.  Come in costume if you like, but not necessary.  Test your wits on Downton Abbey trivia and customs of the day.  Dine on 1920s hearty appetizers, drink 'Downton Abbey Wine,' pose for vintage photos, and much more. Outstanding prizes available.  This Ridgefield Library fundraiser is only $75 per person. Click here to purchase tickets.

ARTalk: Buddhist Sculpture

ARTalk - Buddhist Sculpture of South East Asia with Dr. Karen S. Hwang 

In this illustrated talk, art historian Karen S. Hwang will highlight five exquisite sculptures from India, China, Korea and Japan, as a way of outlining the development of Buddhist art in South and East Asia. Karen Hwang teaches art history at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY. She received her Ph.D from Harvard University, where she concentrated her studies on the arts of the Buddhist caves along the Silk Road. She has lived in Ridgefield for the last five years.
