It's time for trick or treat on Main Street with the annual Halloween Walk.  Kids - stop by the Library in your costume and get an age-appropriate book for your own.  We think this is just as sweet as candy, and the enjoyment will last longer!

The Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts designed to revitalize the role of literature in American culture and to encourage citizens to read for pleasure and enlightenment. The NEA presents The Big Read in partnership with Arts Midwest. Support has also been received from Connecticut Humanities (CTH), a non-profit affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities that funds, creates and collaborates on hundreds of cultural programs across Connecticut each year.  This program is also made possible with support from Liz and Steven Goldstone.   The 2014 Big Read in Ridgefield is presented by The Ridgefield Playhouse for Movies and the Performing Arts and the Ridgefield Library, along with numerous community partners.

Look for the Library's table at this special event hosted by the Chamber of Commerce and Parks and Recreation.  Learn about resources we have to help you achieve your health and wellness goals, and hear about upcoming programs in the series sponsored by the Noreen L. Papa: Mothers Live your Life Fund.
Camp Snooze Registration Now Underway
The Library's popular 4th grade library sleepover is back - November 8th for boys and November 15th for girls.  The cost for this fun-filled, chaperoned evening is $120 ($80 of which is tax-deductible).  Campers will have access to the entire Library and its collections.  The night will include magic, a scavenger hunt, art projects, games and a visit for the Hot Dog Man.
