John Patrick, who served as IBM's Vice President of Internet Technology, will cover topics such as home health care telemonitoring, new smartphone medical devices that can perform an EKG, a cholesterol test, or diagnose ear infection of a child. He will also describe emerging trends for personalized healthcare from our genomes, population health, and self-diagnosis. Please register. Terrarium Workshop
Make and take home a custom terrarium. Make your own closed terrarium in an 8" apothecary jar incorporating purchased miniature plants and moss. Personalize with your own collectibles. All materials will be provided by the Library, but feel free to bring in individual (small) items if you would like to personalize your terrarium.
The workshop is led by the Library's Children's Program Coordinator Diane Antezzo, but is for adults age 17 and older. Limit of 16 registrants. Please register. A $5.00 materials fee will be collected at the door. This program is part of the Library's Adult Summer Reading program and is made possible thanks to the Friends of the Ridgefield Library.
