Project Resilience Panel Discussion

Monday, June 2, 7:30 PM

Main Program Room

It's Never Too Early to Stop Worrying About College: A Panel Discussion

These days, many parents start worrying about college before their children enter pre-school. Slowly but surely, the worry of parents becomes the worry of children, until we have elementary aged children with free floating anxiety, worries about which extracurricular activities will help them get into the right college and fewer tools than ever to help them cope with the ups and downs of life. Project Resilience, in conjunction with the Ridgefield Library, will bring together four expert panelists to shed light on where we are today and help parents and teens approach this exciting educational step with confidence and resilience.

Panel Members:
Ann Fleming Brown, Director of Admissions, Union College, Schenectady, NY
Deena Maerowitz, JD, MSW, Educational Consultant, Ridgefield, CT
Dr. Pat McAuliffe, Psychologist PhD., Horace Greeley High School, Chappaqua, NY
Rachel Rosten, Admissions Counselor, Williams College, Williamstown, MA

Moderated by: Martha Evans Morris, MSW, Associate Publisher, Morris Media Group
