Reminder about Weather Policies
Even more weather will be coming our way later this week, so please note the following:
  • Library closings are made independently and do not necessarily follow what is being done by the schools or town agencies. Decisions will be communicated via email, Twitter, Facebook and most local media notification services. Library voicemail and website will also list current status.
  • Please confirm all programs taking place outside of the Library, as other venues may be affected differently by snow, ice, power outages, etc.
  • All children's programs are cancelled when school is closed due to weather. Morning children's programs are cancelled if school is delayed.  Afternoon programs are cancelled if there is an early dismissal.
  • Decisions about adult programs are made on a case-by-case basis.
  • When we are closed due to weather, all items due that day will be automatically extended to the next open day and no fines will accrue.
  • Above all, stay safe and turn to www.ridgefieldlibrary.org for renewals, research, downloads and more if you can't get out.
