Raising Financially Responsible Children

Seminar: Raising Financially Responsible Children 
Griffin Burnett, an agent from New York Life, will present a free seminar. During the educational, family-oriented event he will discuss the importance of educating parents and their children on financial responsibility and share some helpful tips on ways to teach children about money. No registration.
ARTalk: Inspired by Georgia O'Keefe

Inspired by Georgia O'Keefe: Working in Pastel
Award-winning pastel artist Gregory Maichack will offer an inspiring pastels workshop focusing on the work of Georgia O'Keefe. Maichack is an established pastel artist who is on the faculty of several schools and colleges in Massachussetts. This workshop will focus on the richly colored and organic forms of Georgia O'Keefe.

Registration is required for this workshop. All materials will be provided, and there will be a modest $5.00 artist supplies fee, which will be collected at the door. There is a maximum of 25 participants, so please register quickly.  More information and registration.

Shutterbugs Gather Saturday

Meet in the Parking Lot
The Shutterbugs
The Ridgefield Library's photography group meets monthly to discuss their craft and/or head out on their many field trips. They will meet in the parking lot at 21 Governor Street to then go out on field trips. Lynn Lewis and Friends Concert
Lynn will bring a special surprise guest to the Ridgefield Rec. Center. Bring your cameras for this special concert for ages 5 and under. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
No registration.

Winter storytimes and after school activities start this week.  Some programs required pre-registration. Check the full calendar for details.

Please Note: Mother Goose on Tuesdays has returned to the Library but now requires registration.

YA Critics
People in grades 6 to 8 are invited to come to YA Critics on alternating Tuesday afternoons.  We talk about whatever books we've been reading lately, whether or not we'd recommend them, and we enjoy some snacks while we talk.  Fantasy, mystery, historical fiction, non-fiction, adventure, Science Fiction, all genres are welcome!   No registration.

Play with a tournament experienced teacher. For children in grades 4 - 8. No registration.
