A Reminder about our Program Cancellation Policy
|
Just a reminder about the Library's policy regarding children's activities. While we make our own decisions about closing the Library in the event of weather, we follow the lead of the school system in scheduling or cancelling children's programs.
- Regular activities such as storytimes generally do NOT meet on days when the schools have a scheduled closing, such as for holiday observances. We often plan special performances for these days instead.
- On days when the schools close due to the weather and other emergency situations, all Library children's activities are cancelled for the day.
- On days when the schools announce a delayed opening, morning children's programs are cancelled but afternoon activities take place as scheduled if conditions permit.
Cancellation decisions about adult programs are made on a case by case basis, dependent on prevailing conditions.
