Halloween Walk Calling all trick-or-treaters! Stop by the Library during the Halloween Stroll and get a free children's book (while supplies last). Thanks to Ridgefield High School's National Honor Society for collecting and donating new and lightly used books for distribution!

Tech Fridays: Using Downloadable eBooks and Audiobooks from OverDrive
Do you want to use an online resource or a new technology but feel overwhelmed by the learning curve involved? Then, Tech Fridays are for you. Each month, we'll pick a topic related to technology, and one of our staff will be available to answer your questions and demonstrate how to become an empowered user of online resources and electronic devices.
This Month: Learn how to download eBooks and audiobooks from the Library's Overdrive platform. Adult Services Librarian Dorothy Pawlowski will demonstrate how to use the service and offer hands on help on get started downloading eBooks and audiobooks to compatible devices.

Children's Programs this Week

Monday 10:30 AM, Library Program Room Drop-In Storytime Children ages 3 and up are invited for stories, songs and a short book-based film. No registration.Tuesday 10:00 AM only, Parks and Recreation Center, 195 Danbury Road Mother Goose: Movement, music and rhymes for infants to 2 year olds with a caregiver. No registration.

Tuesday 6:00-7:00 PM, Library Program Room Scrabble Play scrabble with a tournament experienced teacher. For children in grades 4 - 8. No registration. Wednesday 2:00 PM, Library Program Room Storytime for 3s Children 3 years old are invited for stories, songs & a short book based film. This program is now a drop-in program and no longer requires pre-registration.
Thursday 2:00 PM, Library Program Room Threes and Fours on Their Own Children ages 3 and 4 are invited for stories, songs and a short book-based film. This program is now a drop-in program and no longer requires pre-registration. Thursday 4:30 PM, Library Program Room Junior WritersYoung writers in grades 4 & 5 are invited to share their written creations and inspire each other in their love of writing. Snacks will be served. No registration.Friday 11:00 AM, Library Program Room Friday Flicks Movies based on favorite children's books for ages 2 and older. No registration. Special for National Cat Day! Saturday 10:30 AM, Library Program Room Drop-In Storytime Children ages 3 and up are invited for stories, songs and a craft all about cats in celebration of National Cat Day. ROAR will even bring a cat! No registration.
