The Staff-Parish Relations Committee at UUMC and Senior Pastor John Elford accepted today Marc Erck's letter of resignation as Director of Music, Worship and Operations effective August 31, 2014. Marc's amazing talent as a choir director will be missed at UUMC, and we wish him all the best in whatever future musical endeavors he decides to undertake.  We celebrate his love for, and more than 20-year tenure at, UUMC, the many rich and robust pieces of music he brought forward, his leadership of our Church's wonderful choir along with his music ministry outreach in Cameroon, his hard work on the UUMC Capital Campaign, and his many other gifts and areas of service. 

Marc and his family continue to be valued members of UUMC, and we offer them the support of our prayers and sincere best wishes during this time of transition and new beginnings.  We also want to assure the choir and the congregation that Marc's service here has been greatly valued, recognized and will live on in many different ways.  As we move forward in developing an interim and longer-term plan for UUMC's music ministry and operational oversight, please be assured that we will do so in a collaborative and thoughtful process, always keeping in mind God's vision for our many ministries. Suggestions, thoughts and concerns may be relayed to Pastor John, Pastor Lisa or to the SPRC chair, Pat Wyman.
