FBS Frequently Asked Questions:

How are the FBS panel joints sealed?

With a FBS System, we have two different types of panel joints.   One that is seamed and concealed and another that is exposed and caulked. Our exposed joint uses a caulked approach consisting of a backer rod and urethane caulking colored to compliment the exterior finishes.  Our seamed joint has framing that is joined in the field and then in the example of Brickwal, the finishes are seamed in the field to conceal the joint visually.

President Message:
As I look at the calendar, September 21st is noted as the first day of the Fall Season.  Transitioning into this new season, especially in areas located above the Frost Belt, we are reminded of the additional weather related challenges that accompany construction work throughout the Fall and Winter Seasons.

Even in areas where Fullerton Building Systems is active and the changing seasons less pronounced, we continue to hear from customers regarding their challenges securing adequate on-site labor to meet today's compressed construction build times.

Constraints from labor and weather were main factors providing the impetus for Franchise Times interviewing individuals and companies active  in the industry, to ultimately publish an article discussing how pre-fabricated construction can be a solution.  We have included an article link in this newsletter for your review.

As we have for the last century, Fullerton will continue assisting customers with management of these challenges by providing manufactured solutions that control weather related risk, reduce construction timelines and minimize on-site labor challenges.

Enjoy the new season.

INDUSTRY INSIGHT
"FRANCHISE TIMES" - September  2014 Issue
Pre-fab construction offers speedier route from Point A to Point B.
Pre-fabricated panels, construction in the factory rather than on-site, are in demand.  That's because "they take time out of the project and increase our speed to market," says one franchisee with more than 300 stores.

Factory-constructed buildings that are made to order are giving a whole new meaning to the term "quick serve".  Anyone who has built a new store location from the ground up knows that the construction process is fraught with unexpected hiccups.  Bad weather alone can delay a building product for days or even weeks......to read the rest of the article, please click here
