Fifth grade students are designing and participating in service projects as a year-end activity. While some students have elected to volunteer with organizations outside of school, others are working to organize donation drives and welcome your participation. Digital Photography Workshops for Teens Learn the basics of digital photography in workshops geared for teens. 13-18. Classes in August at Phinney Ridge Neighborhood Center. Click here for more info!

Northwest Boychoir Auditions
Boys in K-Third are invited to audition on Saturday, June 11th at the University Heights Center. No previous music training is needed. Information here or to schedule an appointment call 206-524-3234.
Financial aid is available to any child who meets our audition requirements.
Free Tutoring in Reading
Summer reading class for incoming 1-4 graders. Students are matched with trained high school reading coaches and meet twice a week for 6 weeks. Information and application here.
Pottery Summer Camps Fayezart still has a few spots left for those kids who love mud, fire and pizza. Help Wanted for Adams Elementary Carnival Students interested in helping with the Adams Elementary Carnival on June 17th should sign up here. Grab a friend and work a booth together. If you sign up for a 30-minute shift, you get pizza !

Please join us in the auditorium at 7pm on Thursday for our last FOSB meeting of the year. This final meeting is a time to celebrate the countless volunteers who made this year successful and thank a few key people leaving their positions. Great people, great treats. Join us!

Bike Inspectors
Our 8th graders are preparing to ride their bikes to camp and we need a handful of volunteers to help pump tires and check brakes on Monday afternoon from 4-6pm. If you can help, email Sam Olson.
Field Day
Elementary field day will take place on the morning of June 17th. We need volunteers to help Mr. G make this a fun and engaging event. Volunteer to help at a station or fill water balloons (kids love this job!) Sign -up here. Questions? Email Jodi.

Wishes and Remembrances
In recognition of their many years at Salmon Bay, we are collecting notes and remembrances for Sally and Mary K. If you would like to add a note to their jars, stop by the Volunteer Coordinator office to write a note or drop off a note you've completed. You can also email Jodi the text you want printed. If you'd like to make a financial contribution to their gifts, there are collection envelopes in Jodi's office.

Food For Kids Summer Program

Pick up food bags Tuesdays 11 am - 6 pm, or Wednesdays thru Fridays from 7 am - 6 pm.

The elementary Talent Show is Friday, June 10th. It's a chance for students to showcase singing, dancing, instrument playing, dramatic poem reading, martial arts, or other talents. Classes have received sign up and audition information. A few guidelines:
- No skits or magic tricks
- Each student can participate in only act
- Song choices should be previewed by parents

Camp Snacks
We are really low on snacks for 8th grade camp. Please donate nut free, individually-wrapped snacks (chips, fruit snacks, pretzels, etc.). Load your donation up in the rental truck Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning.
8th Grade Promotion 8th grade promotion is at Ingraham High School on June 23rd at 7pm. It's a touching ceremony with a punch and cupcake reception that follows. All family members welcome.
8th Grade Picnic After promotion rehearsal on the morning of June 23rd, the 8th graders enjoy a picnic at Golden Gardens. We need volunteers to help purchase supplies and serve lunch at the picnic. Able to help? Sign up here.
BHS Freshmen Music Meeting June 15th at 7pm in the Instrumental Music Room (across from the gym). Meeting is for all incoming freshmen that will be involved in the music program.
