It's about community. Even if auctions aren't typically your scene, you're sure to enjoy this Salmon Bay version that puts the party first and the proceeds second. Yes, this is our largest fundraiser of the year. Yes, the funds we raise provide essential support for school programs and projects. But the auction is first and foremost a celebration. It is the one night we set aside to gather the adults in our community together in one place. We want you to be a part of it.
There is something for everyone. Our silent auction offers everything from cruises and nights out on the town to pre-filled water balloons delivered to your door for summer fun.
Feathers and fringe are optional. There is no dress code for our auction. We encourage costumes and suggest that you wear your underwear on the inside, but the auction is a come-as-you-are affair.
There will be kale (and more)! Historically, the auction has been a potluck-with kale featured prominently. This year, thanks to a generous salmon dinner donation from the Ballard Masons, the meal will be mostly catered with additional salads and sides provided by Salmon Bay families for the non-fish eaters among us. It's the best of both worlds!
There are no assigned seats. Any empty chair is up for grabs for the dinner and program portion of the evening. If you are a middle school parent looking to connect with other middle school parents, we'll have a couple of tables signed "Middle School Mingle" where you can join our table hosts and make new connections.
