K-5 Play: Sign up Today!
This year's K-5 play will be a double bill.
We'll have great roles for beginners and strong actors alike!
Our main play is titled "Putting on Romeo and Juliet." It's a hilarious parody play concept developed by our 2015 play-writing group last spring that honors the creative chaos we all love about putting on a play and includes a great cast of silly and fun characters!
Our second play is called "House of Cards." It is a thoughtful play that deals with the negative effects of cliques and power dynamics in schools.
To sign up, fill out the registration form found here.

Over half of the books checked out from our library collection are currently overdue. Although we don't assess late fees, we do rely on timely returns to keep our collection robust and moving. Please return overdue books to the library before Winter Break. Contact Linda with questions about library materials. Thanks to the efforts and generosity of our wonderful community, the library will be ringing in the New Year with many new books.

We want to introduce Katie White who has recently been hired as our Playground Supervisor. Katie has been a Salmon Bay parent for 6 years and currently has students in first and fifth grades. Katie says the two best things about her job are the kids and being outside. When she is not on the playground, you might spot Katie posting updates on the Legislative Committee bulletin board (located on the first floor west hallway). Thank you for being such an enthusiastic and positive presence on the playground Katie! Now Hiring: Playground and Lunchroom HelperWant to help Katie out when she's not here or lend a hand in our lunchroom? We are still looking to hire a part time hourly person who is interested in a few shifts a week in the lunchroom or on the playground and wants to fill in when we need extra coverage. Please check in with the main office if this is something you are interested in.
