FOSB News
First off, a big welcome and thank you to Erica Topel, new Salmon Bay parent of a 6th grader, who offered to co-chair the auction committee! Auction planning is under way. Stay tuned for auction theme and volunteer opportunities.

November Meeting
We are working to keep you informed of upcoming meetings and provide relevant documents in advance so that you are prepared to participate. At our next meeting (11/12), we will be voting on several items:
  1. Approval of Dan Fiorito as a new Director. Dan and his wife Megan have two kids at Salmon Bay. Ella is in Amy's kindergarten class.  Maggie is in Dave's 3rd grade class. Dan says he wants to join the FOSB Board "to get involved in an area where I think can contribute. I look forward to meeting more parents and faculty as well."
  2. FOSB endorsement/adoption of the Paramount Duty Resolution. The Legislative Committee presented this at the last FOSB meeting and it will be voted on this month. Review the proposed resolution HERE
  3. Adoption of meeting norms. Review a proposed draft HERE.
  4. Deciding whether to allocate money for a motion picture umbrella license. The license would allow FOSB to host family movie nights.
Please take a moment to review the links above and think about the proposals before the November meeting. Then, join us as we discuss how to spend our time, money and energy for the benefit of all!

As a reminder, everyone at Salmon Bay is an automatic member of FOSB and has a vote in decisions.

Enrichment Fees Are Due
Has your child participated in a field trip this year? During the school year students participate in field trips, artist-in-residence programs, camps and special class projects. Enrichment fees are due today (October 30th).
You can find information and make payment on the FOSB Website or pay by check.  Questions? Please contact Jodi.
