When not teaching, he is busy raising two children. He enjoys reading, listening to records, cooking, and playing games.
Nicolette Jensen (pictured above) is teaching 5th grade this year. Her class enjoyed learning about each other's summer adventures and is excited to dive into this year's projects, including a study of human rights, a microworlds science unit, literature groups and...Making History!! When not with her Salmon Bay family, she is home in Greenwood with her husband and children. Annabelle, turned four this summer and Greyson is now 10 months old! Her weekend hobby these days is picking the brandywine tomatoes grown from seed and making them into marinara and enchilada sauce for the winter.

Xena Eckert is teaching 4th grade and excited to be starting her first year at Salmon Bay! She has worked as an educator in a variety of capacities, including Special Ed., Reading intervention and Early Childhood. There is rarely a dull moment in her life, with her sons Finnegan(6), Amado(12), step daughter Audrey (12,) and step son Gabe (15.)
Marian Wagner is teaching 4th grade this year and is in her 9th year teaching intermediate grades at Salmon Bay. She graduated from Western's Fairhaven College with a concentration in Ecology and Social Change and got her Master's Degree from University of Washington in 2005 with endorsements in K-8 education and special education. She's been teaching at her choice job at Salmon Bay ever since! She is a National Board Certified Teacher, district lead science teacher, and an SEA union leader.
