Thank you to all of the parents who helped plan and execute our annual auction. We couldn't pull off such a big event without you. It was so nice to see so many smiling faces having fun Saturday night, and to have so much support for funding more collaboration time four our teachers!
Budget numbers continue to come in from the district, and we are currently working with the numbers that we already have. We will share more concrete budget information with you soon.
Thanks for all you do,
Jen and Brett

What a weekend! Thanks to everyone who came out to the auction on Saturday evening. It was a fun, fun night and we raised a lot of money for the school (final numbers to be announced soon!).
Thanks to all of the volunteers who crafted, set up tables, hung signs, poured wine, sold raffle tickets ,set up laptops. did paperwork and more. I am always amazed by how different the NSCC gym looks from when I get there at 9 AM and then when I return at 4:30. So much hard work goes into making it look beautiful, making the food and drink hospitable and managing logisitcs for smooth sales and check out. Thank you!
Special thanks to Stephanie Lynch. It was her first year as auction chair and she did a job any veteran would be proud of! Thanks Stephanie!
If you still need to pick up an item you purchased, you can do that in my office. If you need to pick up your pot luck tray/dish you can get those from me as well.
Save the Date! On April 25th, we will have Salmon Bay Night at the Seattle Mariners! The game is at 7:10 against the Houston Astros. Tickets are $11 each for view reserved seats. We will have sign up info available soon.
Our amazing 5th graders have been working hard on the annual Shakespeare production. This year they are performing "The Comedy of Errors" with a Beatles-inspired soundtrack! Dates are listed on the calendar on the left, come appreciate their hard work!
Have a fabulous week!

What an wonderful evening! Every year I am blown away by how this community comes out on auction night and supports this school! At this point we don't have final numbers but it is shaping up to be a success! Our auction is a huge portion of our yearly funding and I want to send a huge thank you to all the people that helped it be so great! From our stellar auction chair Stephanie Lynch to every single person who baked a cake, donated an item, decorated, set up, procured, potlucked, organized, brewed, served, attended, dressed up, raised a paddle and enjoyed themselves we all deserve a big congratulations on not only a great fundraising event but also a great community building event!
Over the next few days things that were left at the college will come in to find a temporary home outside the volunteer coordinators offices. If you are missing a potluck dish from the auction or from the tour meal on Thursday night please come on in and take them home. We will have items and certificates that were left behind shortly and will send out an email over the next few days with all the info you need to help us wrap up the auction.
Our last WEP is this Friday 3/7 so your students have one more day to enjoy their chosen activity.
On April 25th, we will have Salmon Bay Night at the Seattle Mariners. The game is at 7:10 against the Houston Astros. Tickets are $11 each for view reserved seats. We will have sign up info available soon.
Have a great week!

Ballard High School Performing ArtsUrinetown: The musical. A hilarious tale of greed, corruption, love, and revolution. In a Gotham-like city, a terrible water shortage, caused by a 20-year drought, has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens must use public amenities, controlled by a single malevolent company that charges admission for a most basic human need. But amid the people, a hero decides he's had enough. Come see the result for yourself! Performances will launch at the Opening Night Gala on Thursday March 6th, with the option of enjoying a pre-performance auction and dinner; and will run five more nights until March 15th. Order your tickets now at showtix4u.com. Thank you!! Paula Cerni Conde VP Publicity, Ballard Performing Arts Booster Club

Ballard High K-5 soccer camps
The Ballard high school girls soccer team and staff will offer two week-long camps this year. The first will occur during spring break and the second will be during summer. Both camps are led by head coach Michelle Beattie and assistant coach Meghan Miller. Small groups will be coached by the girls team, allowing campers to interact with members from the Ballard program.
Our coaches have attended many camps and know the value it brings to each camper. All coaches and player-coaches are dedicated to creating a safe, fun and engaging camp. Camp curriculum is comprised of knowledge the coaches have acquired from their camp and coaching experiences, as well as actual training drills from Ballard practices and fun games.
Youth camps are offered to K-5th graders. Please note this camp is focused on soccer, where we will challenge campers to work hard, try new things and the importance of perseverance. We also talk about sportsmanship, respect for all campers, playing as a team and playing fair.
Both camps are a wonderful way for your son or daughter to tune up their soccer skills, make new friends, stay active and enjoy the world's game. We encourage you to sign your child up for both camps and bring friends, classmates and teammates along. It is a great way to build team chemistry during a week-long training session. We are happy to accommodate full teams and provide a discounted rate for groups more than eight. Please contact us for further information.
