It is NOT Goodbye, It Is See You Later!!
| |
Last week the Adult Day group had to deal with a big change. It was only appropriate that the topic of discussion be, "Change is Good".
Since August 2012, we at Brighter, Stronger Foundation have had the pleasure of working with Ms. Varshea Smith. Ms. Smith served in many capacities while here at BSF. She started off as an Intern assisting with marketing events, but will be best known for her work as the Adult Day Program Facilitator. Weekly Ms. Smith assisted our Adult PRP participants with developing life skills to help them become more independent.
Ms. Smith will be taking a break from her duties here at BSF to pursue her Master's Degree at the University of Maryland. She will certainly be missed!
We wish her the best in all of her future endeavors!!

Therapeutic Youth Group's Updates!
| |
"When I look in the mirror, what do I see looking back at me?"
This question served as the topic of discussion for our youth groups in August as we reflected on Positive Self Image.
We explored positive self-images and how to develop that sense of pride about oneself.
Therapeutic groups allow for an opportunity for our youth to get together to discuss issues and concerns that they are challenged by.
With that being said, we highly encourage parents/guardians to have their youth attend these monthly groups.
Please make note of the following dates and times:
* 4-11 Year Olds-
