College Dedicates Davis Athletic Complex
More than 100 people gathered September 18 to celebrate the opening of the Davis Athletic Complex and to thank the project’s donors, including longtime Albion residents Bud and Olivia Davis, who generously gave the lead naming gift for the facility. The Davis Athletic Complex rings in a new era for outdoor Briton athletics and includes a new lighted facility for soccer and lacrosse as well as fully renovated Joranko Field for baseball and Dempsey Field for softball.
"While people are what make Albion a special place, facilities like this are essential to get prospective student-athletes and their families to visit Albion," President Mauri Ditzler said during the dedication ceremony. "Thanks to the generous gift of the Davis family and many alumni, this complex will show off Albion for many years to come."
