Albion College Joins Kalamazoo Promise Group of Eligible Schools
The Kalamazoo Promise is coming to Albion College.
The nine-year-old, nationally known college scholarship program for Kalamazoo Public Schools students is extending its reach beyond Michigan's public universities and colleges through a partnership with the Michigan Colleges Alliance (MCA) that begins in fall 2015.

Albion College history professor Geoff Cocks, noted for his scholarship on Nazi-era Germany and the Third Reich, offered his insight about why the Italian soccer commissioner of the time may have hidden the World Cup trophy as part of an�ESPN 30 for 30: Soccer Stories�documentary, “Mysteries of the Rimet Trophy.”

Wilson, '77, and Strite, '14, to Join College Board of Trustees
A returning member and a new alumnus have been invited to join Albion College's Board of Trustees. James Wilson, '77, and Don Strite, '14, will begin active service with the board beginning July 1.

Distinguished Alumni Award Winners
Each year, Albion College presents the Distinguished Alumni Awards to alumni who have distinguished themselves professionally and through service to Albion College.
This year's Distinguished Alumni Achievement Awards go to Shari Parker Burgess, �80, vice president and treasurer of Lear Corporation; and Paul R. Dixon, �83, ASCEM multi-lab program manager at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
The Distinguished Alumni Service Award goes to Carolyn Aishton Ouderkirk, �64, vice president for corporate affairs (retired), Avon Products.

Celebrate Albion Weekend: Javier Colon to Perform in September
Albion College is thrilled to announce Javier Colon as the entertainer who will offer a grand finale to President Mauri Ditzler's Inauguration festivities while also kicking off Community Day and Family Weekend. This free concert will be held at Victory Park at 7 p.m. on Friday, September 12. Albion residents, College students, and families are all invited to participate in this premier event within the Celebrate Albion weekend of events.
Javier Colon captivated America as the winner of the inaugural season of NBC's hit television show, The Voice, and has continued his long-standing career as a singer/songwriter. Colon's solo shows include original works as well as covers such as "Landslide" by Stevie Nicks and his fan-favorite acoustic rendition of Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time."
