Pressprich, '14, Featured on Cover of NCAA Champion Magazine
Carl Pressprich's successful career as an Albion College student-athlete has often found him in key back-end roles�from his regular studies, to his computer programming to help protect wireless networks as an Oak Ridge National Laboratory intern, to bolstering the defense of the runner-up Britons' men's lacrosse team.

Provost Susan Conner Announces Retirement�
Susan Conner, Albion College's provost and vice president for academic affairs, recently announced her intention to retire as of June 30 after 39 years of service in education.
�The College is really impressive; it has a dedicated faculty and staff, outstanding facilities, and talented students who are making a change in the world," Conner says. "My husband and I are pleased to be staying in Albion where we enjoy being involved in the life of the community.�

Miss Indiana USA Mekayla Diehl, �11, Prepares for Big Stage
If the six months since Mekayla Diehl, �11, was crowned Miss Indiana USA have been a whirlwind, she can only imagine what her lifestyle will be like if she successfully completes her quest of becoming the first Native American and Hoosier to be proclaimed Miss USA.
The Miss USA competition will be broadcast live June 8 from 8-11 p.m. ET on NBC.

Biology Students Present Research at National Drosophila Conference
Albion College biology professor Roger Albertson and students Marissa Cloutier, Jack Manquen and Allison McClish presented posters at the Drosophila Research Conference, sharing work they believe could improve human health in developing countries.
"This research conducted at Albion College is part of an international effort to control Wolbachia," Albertson said.

Expert Richard Alley Shares Facts, Optimism About Climate Change
Nobel laureate Richard Alley received an honorary doctorate during Albion College�s 25th Elkin R. Isaac Student Research Symposium before delivering the Joseph S. Calvaruso Keynote.
Alley, a geosciences professor at Pennsylvania State University who regularly advises world leaders and U.S. legislators on climate-change science, used history and personal anecdotes to illustrate the science and to suggest workable ways to combat global warming.
"The warming influence of CO2 on the planet is not something you 'believe in,'" Alley stated. "It's physics."
