Local Bank Celebrates College's
Founders Day

Homestead Bank

Juanita Solis-Kidder, receptionist at Homestead Savings Bank in Albion (far left), wanted to help celebrate Albion College's 179th birthday – and show a bit of community partnership pride.

She and her co-workers from all four Homestead branches donned the College's signature purple and gold Friday, March 21, for Albion's Founders Day, and raised $179 (in honor of the College's birthday) to donate to the Albion College Fund.

Juanita contacted Mandy Dubiel, director of admission, for an Albion t-shirt to wear that Friday. Instead, Mandy gave Juanita enough shirts to outfit the entire Albion Homestead branch.

Homestead Bank and Albion College share another connection: Peggy Sindt, '73, Albion Economic Development president, is chairman of the Homestead Savings Bank board of directors. Mike Frandsen, interim president of the College, is vice chairman.
