'We Love Albion'

Albion College brings people together, it's true, but once in a while a pair of Britons will become a couple — one that lasts.
In the spirit of Valentine's Day, we're sharing eight alumni couple stories. Everything from "50 years later" to "ready to take the next step," these alumni got to know each other at Albion, and are still going strong.
Our stories include Board of Trustees members, Alumni Association members, and recent alumni who are doing great things.
Visit our Flickr gallery to read these eight heartfelt stories.
Have one to share? E-mail communications@albion.edu with your story, your class year, and a photo, and we'll include it in the gallery!

Andrew Reed, '16, Rewarded for Public Service
Andrew Reed, '16, got more civics lessons during his senior year at Swartz Creek High School than many citizens gain in a lifetime.
Now a first-year student at Albion College and a member of the College's Gerald R. Ford Institute for Leadership in Public Policy and Service, Reed recently received three awards for the work he performed as an intern in the Michigan Legislature even before attending his first lecture at Albion.
Honors included the legislature's Frank M. Fitzgerald Public Service Award, the Washington Crossing Foundation's Dana N. Weeder Memorial Scholarship, and the Student Statesmanship Institute's John Quincy Adams Award.

Rollin' on the River

Relive your student days spent along the Kalamazoo River! Io Triumphe!, our alumni magazine, is looking for your reminiscences about the river—maybe an infamous canoe trip, a romantic moment, a cool discovery...or just the great view of the river and its banks decked out in gorgeous fall color. Whatever you most remember, share it with us at communications@albion.edu.
Submissions should be sent no later than March 8 and will be printed in the next edition at the editor's discretion. We hope to hear from you soon!

Paul Stewart, '16, Brings New Life to WLBN
Radio broadcasting enthusiast Paul Stewart, '16, knew from the day he set foot on Albion College’s campus during his college search that he wanted to bring new life to the College’s student radio station.
Thanks to a donation of a new audio console, advising from Albion communication studies professor Andy Boyan, and interest from students, Stewart has made huge improvements at the station in just one semester on campus. Listeners can now tune in from anywhere via the Internet.
