Foodscraps Program Offers Alternative to Landfill     
Foodscraps Program
The City's Foodscraps Program diverts leftover food from restaurants and grocery stores and turns it into compost. Over 150 businesses and schools currently participate, and it reduces the environmental impact of burying materials that can be recycled. Although it is currently only available to businesses, the City is working on extending it to a small number of multi-unit residential buildings. Watch the Video...

Sign Up for Adult Sports Leagues this Fall 
Adult sports leagues The City offers many opportunities for adults to join organized and FUN athletic leagues. A variety of divisions meet all skill levels in beach volleyball, indoor volleyball, basketball and soccer. New offerings include a co-ed and men's flag football league and a women's basketball division. The individual player registration deadline is August 30, and the team deadline is September 6. Airport Tours The Visitor's Center at the Airport hosted over 5,000 visitors last year.
