Chapala Street Bridge Replacement Begins
Chapala Bridge Replacement 
Construction has started to replace the Chapala Street Bridge over Mission Creek. During construction, the intersection of Chapala and West Yanonali Streets will be closed. Local traffic will be able to use these streets leading up to the bridge. Read More... 
New Library Checkout Kiosks
The Library recently unveiled new self-checkout kiosks at the Central and Eastside libraries. These kiosks help customers quickly check out materials without waiting in line. The kiosks help customers renew items and print or e-mail  receipts.

Shipping Lanes Adjusted in Santa Barbara Channel
The International Maritime Organization recently amended vessel traffic lanes in the Santa Barbara Channel. The shift in southbound vessel traffic lanes is expected to reduce the risk of whale strikes.
