Council to Review Proposed City Budget

Council will review the proposed Financial Plan for Fiscal Years 2014 and 2015 through the end of May, culminating in adoption of the budget in June. The Fiscal Year 2014 recommended budget is comprised of all City funds, including the General Fund, special revenue funds and enterprise funds. The budget includes a total operating budget of $264.1 million and a recommended capital budget totaling $40.1 million. Review the hearing schedule... 
New Waterfront Self-Pay Parking System
Visitors to the Waterfront can now pay for parking using self-pay machines. The machines can accept cash, coins, or credit/debit cards and are available in the Harbor West, Palm Park, Garden Street and Cabrillo East and West parking lots.
Video Cameras Installed in Police Vehicles
Video cameras have been installed in 29 police vehicles and the corresponding hardware and software is now being installed in the Police Station. Officers will receive training and the system will be put to use in May.
A.C. Postel Rose Garden Spring is Blooming
at the Rose Garden

It's that time of year again to enjoy the roses at the A.C.  Postel Memorial Rose Garden. The garden has over 240 varieties and over 1,600 roses. Volunteers recently planted over 400 new roses. The rose garden is maintained by dedicated rose garden volunteers and City staff.
