CERT Courses begin May 7

Junior League Gift Supports Youth Literacy 
The Junior League of Santa Barbara recently donated $30,000 toward youth programs at the Library. The donation will fund elementary school group tours, story times, and family art workshops in collaboration with the Santa Barbara Museum of Art. The donation will also enhance the Library's annual Summer Reading Program, designed to foster a lifelong love of reading in youth and teens. Read More...

Santa Barbara Public Gardens Partnership is a countywide collaboration  to promote awareness of Santa Barbara's unique and inspiring public gardens. Volunteers Needed for Operation Clean Sweep
Operation Clean Sweep The seventh annual Harbor Clean Sweep will take place on Saturday, May  4. The seafloor can grow littered with lost or discarded junk, impacting boat safety, navigation, and the environment. Volunteers will lift and haul away debris.
Recent Thefts Target Garages and Cars
Recent thefts in the City have occurred in unlocked garage and side doors. Thieves have also targeted valuable items left in plain sight in automobiles. In addition to securing all exterior locks, police officers encourage everyone to keep valuables in parked cars hidden from view.
